Tech Lead

As Tech Lead, you will report directly to Ms. Ghita Mezzour, founder of DecisiveAI and former Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform (2021-2024), and work closely with her on client engagements and on building the company.
You lead the team that builds our products:
- Drive the development of our products from design to production, and make sure they stay reliable, secure and maintainable
- Review code and set the team's technical standards
- Support and mentor the engineers
What we're looking for
Required:
- At least 4 years of professional experience building and shipping software to production
- Proven experience with production systems: you have designed, shipped and maintained over time applications used daily by real users, beyond the prototype or proof-of-concept stage
- Have already built and deployed data and/or AI products in production
- Strong command of Python, with experience of FastAPI, Flask or Django
- Solid cloud experience: GCP, AWS or Azure
- Experience in data engineering and full-stack development
- Experience building applications with AI features, for example retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Strong system design skills, and the ability to explain your technical choices to technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluent French and English
- Organization and autonomy: you set priorities, document your work clearly and flag risks early
Ideal profile: a data engineer with solid cloud and full-stack experience, or a full-stack engineer with solid data engineering and cloud experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience with GCP
- Experience working with clients: running user interviews, translating business needs into technical requirements and presenting your work, including to executive committees

- AI product development for enterprise and institutional clients: document intelligence, search systems, data pipelines and internal tools. We focus in particular on the legal world and work alongside experienced legal professionals
Place of work
This role is 100% on-site at our Casablanca offices. It also involves regular travel to client sites for meetings, workshops and demos. We made this choice because we build our products through close, day-to-day collaboration: we discuss problems together, review each other's work in person and make decisions quickly as a team. We are looking for candidates who share this way of working and can join us on-site, full time.
