The role

You will join the product team as a Data & AI Engineer. Demand from our clients has grown sharply over the past year, and we are expanding the team to accelerate the delivery of our AI applications in production. You will work in direct contact with Ghita Mezzour and the team on the projects you build.

On the AI side

You build the features at the core of our products, most of which serve lawyers, legal departments and institutions in the legal sector.

  • Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems that let users work with their own documents
  • Implement automated document processing for document-heavy business processes
  • Integrate large language models (LLMs) into our applications, and test new models and tools as soon as they are released

On the data and backend side

You build and run the applications our clients use every day.

  • Build and maintain data pipelines: ingestion, processing, storage and orchestration
  • Develop backend APIs in Python with FastAPI
  • Deploy and run applications on Google Cloud Platform
  • Write clear documentation and take part in code reviews

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in data engineering, AI engineering or backend development
  • Good command of Python
  • Experience with FastAPI or a similar Python web framework
  • Hands-on experience with a cloud platform: GCP preferred, AWS or Azure also accepted
  • Solid data engineering fundamentals: SQL, pipelines and data modelling
  • Practical experience with LLMs, RAG or NLP, from professional work or personal projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the business stakes of a project: knowing what the client needs and why a feature matters to them
  • Organized work habits and good documentation practice
  • Initiative and autonomy

Nice to have

Backend or full-stack experience, Docker, CI/CD or infrastructure as code

This role is 100% on-site at our Casablanca office. We chose to work on-site because we build our products through close, day-to-day collaboration: we discuss problems together, review each other's work in person and make decisions quickly as a team. We are looking for candidates who share this way of working and can join us on-site full time.
